We visited Elias Road residents over the weekend!
It was a great joy to listen to the aspirations of fellow Singaporeans young and old.
However, we’re saddened to hear that high cost of living is taking its toll on families.
This has been made worse by several tax hikes such as the increase in GST and water tax.
Adding to the pain is the increase in cost of services like transport and S&CC.
The SDA has urged the government to cut unnecessary spending, so that more funds can be devoted to the people.
We will continue to raise the issue of increased financial help to families struggling to cope with rising costs.
