Over the weekend, we visited Pasir Ris St 51 residents to have a chat. We spoke about municipal issues such as the need for more elderly-friendly facilities, and issues affecting people’s livelihoods such as the current high cost of living. Many residents we spoke to feel that the cost of living problem has not been tackled well and we agree. Definitely, more can be done. The government, as the custodian of the people, must take the lead. First, by having empathy for the plight of Common Singaporeans. We will put up our proposals to address this problem shortly.
